Phoenix

I thought about this for a while...didn't turn out anything like I wanted

More Music Man (MMM?)

Well, I've gone through a couple more pics from Music Man. I'll probably start putting a bunch up on the CST website soon, but for now...here are some involving me.

P.S. Don't forget to check out the Herman Award nominations this year.

First Picture

Well here's the first picture I have from Music Man. This picture was taken by Madison's mother (tis the little girl). She was a munchkin in Wizard of Oz as well. She cried when she found out I'm moving this summer.

Plans?
(background noise: Electric Light Orchestra - Don't Bring Me Down)
(background noise: Toto - Hold the Line)
(background noise: Nine Inch Nails - Love is Not Enough)

The Music Man is officially over. Pictures will be available soon on the CST website...as soon as I acquire mass amounts of them from everybody in the cast...which will most likely happen sometime soon.

The show went well overall...there are always things that could be better though. The quartet's costumes were a lot of fun...

The Herman Awards are next, I have a total of four nominations (three for roles, one for other things - thank you Gene), but I won't reveal for what until I have the complete list and ballots done (I'm adding pictures to the ballots for the person in charge of the ceremony).

Anyways...on to the subject of this thing.

Well, plans have solidified somewhat. Looks like San Francisco is out of the picture. I could most likely make it through one year, but it would completely wipe me out financially, and perhaps put me in fairly big debt just for the one year.

So...Fort Collins it is. Kevin here I come. I will be living in a 4 bedroom house in Fort Collins with Kevin and...some...other people, lol. I will be driving across the country in mid-July with all my crap and a different car (if everything goes well).

I can get a job, take classes at Front Range, and perhaps go to Colorado State University after a little while (my brother in law pointed out some neat things about getting transfer credits there).

I'm trying to get Kevin and/or Lisa to come out to drive out with me so I don't have to do a three day drive on my own.

I'm looking for support on this one...so if you think this is a bad idea, keep your big mouth shut...fortunately...most everyone has been very supportive...and I thank everyone for that, it makes me feel better about it, and makes me feel that I can actually be successful with it.

Barbershop

Well it's opening night tonight and we'll see if the Barbershop Quarter "steals the show" as many are believing.

Last night an odd little good sign happened. I am in the "Marian the Librarian" dance in the show...it's a fairly short and kinda boring dance, but it's cute. Anyways, during most of the song, we have books in our hands (cause you know...we're in a library). It's dark on stage when I grab a book from our one little bookshelf...so I grabbed a random book. When the lights came up, I started flipping a couple pages in the book to...well...pretend I was reading. Then I noticed I had grabbed the "B" book of the "World Books" and had turned to the page listing "Barbershop Quartet Singing"...and if that isn't enough for you, there was a picture on the page of the Buffalo Bills and a caption referring to them as the Barbershop Quartet in...ta da...The Music Man (the movie version).

Odd little coincidence eh?

This is a picture of the Buffalo Bills...not the same picture as in the book...but just to show you:

Well...back to work, really tired from dress rehearsal last night...wish me breaking of the leg tonight...

Phone Number

My phone number is going to change...like...now.

I'm keeping my old number until May 23rd (as that is when my billing cycle ends).

To get my new number, please call my old one and leave a voicemail and a number that I can call you back at (I'll be in rehearsal most of tonight so I won't answer my phone). Or...leave a comment on here with an email address to give you the number.

Time

Odd...there have been a lack of posts here. Well...maybe it's cause I'm busy. Which I am...quite, still...

Tonight is the first night that we actually rehearse in the place that we're performing. Course, I've been there before, so I know the drill. Tonight is also "costume parade" so...we'll be checking out what costumes work, and which ones don't.

The quartet is coming along nicely, we still need some work though, and with only ten days left before opening night...I hope we can get those notes right.

I had a slow week at work after the tax deadline...but then it picked right back up again last week...billing, quarterly reports...woo hoo. Over the weekend we were building/painting the set, so that was fun for the most part. Sunday I didn't do as much work as I probably should have though...although I did get a lot of painting done.

I'm completely caught up on small bills and am in the process of finding out/deciding if I am/can going/go to move to San Francisco or Fort Collins. Quite honestly I'm moving somewhere in mid-late July.

I completed scanning most of the first scrapbook for Center Stage Theatre (only three more to go) and I'm getting those past pages up...but it's going to take a while since things are so busy. Now I have the second scrapbook...which has my sister and her husband in it...ha!

Well...I'm gonna get to work...I'll try and post more later, but never any promises.
