Car

Car is running ok...more quirks figured out, more problems discovered. It's at the shop right now cause I needed to replace the window switches (which some other guy destroyed) and to get the gas pedal to stop sticking.

I need to find a window motor for my front right door. Any of my friends out there...if you see an auto salvage place around, please check if they have a window motor for a 1980 Mercedes 300SD, Chasis 116.20, front right door. The "front right" and "motor" part of that is very important. As they are different for each door and there is something called a window "regulator" as well, which I don't need...I need the motor.

Unfortunately that paragraph is probably pointless...not many people read this anymore, or at least...pay attention to it much.

If anyone could find this part it would be extremely helpful. I'd rather not pay $130-$230 for this part new.

Bah...pointless.

Anyway, 3 day weekend! woo...soon...I've been working everyday since the April 8th...

I need to learn where my spoken lines go in Music Man...they're pretty simple...I mean...like "We need you credentials" simple...I just don't know my cues. I have the songs just about down. I'm still having some trouble with the first song "Ice Cream/Sincere" but other than that I think I'm set...course, I still need to work on the larger songs with the whole town...

Tired

Still recovering from taxes...I've been working everyday since the 8th. Friday is our day off...so...almost there.

Um...not much has been going on besides work...

Random News/Facts

Smell-o-vision is becoming a reality in Japan.

Japan gets everything good first (although I'm not necessarily referring to smell-o-vision)

The PSP still is the portable with the highest potential in the market, unfortunately, the device lacks vital add-ons that would be relatively simple for Sony to develop. A video output option for watching those pesky UMD movies on a big screen. A keyboard for easier web browsing. AND open source software to enable the homebrew programs without hacking, or...at least adopt some homebrews for public use. Sony needs to get off its ass about these things to bring the PSP to its full potential and to get their sales and revenue way up.

Movie releases in January-April are usually low-impact and quite boring. May-July & November-December usually have great releases. Although there were a couple exceptions (V for Vendetta was great).

People, as a whole, are stupid (along with many individuals).

Fruit is great...the end.

George W. Bush is one of those stupid people...and actually below most of them.

"Family Values" is not something I pay attention to when looking at someone running for president. Rational, logical, and intelligent thinking and decisions on vital matters to the country are what I'm looking for.

The idea of money saying "This is your God" in invisible print is not insane...but sunglasses to view that print (and aliens) are.

Imagine if companies weren't out to make a profit, only to be self-sustaining...maybe with a little extra (really...consider it, of course...it's doesn't work with capitalism...but just think about it).

Imagine if college was free (damn that would be great right about now).

Or healthcare was free...

(Imagine all the people sharing all the world, ooooo).

Back to work...for the people's God

Eeek!

Some things entertain you at work, some of those are webcomics...and with penny-arcade being the only one I really keep up with...

You know...I usually don't do this...but holy shit.

Weekend

Bad Friday mostly got better...I think...

Saturday, very boring very frustrating morning...very little to do (considering second job to pick up slack...perhaps, perhaps not).

Went to local concert Saturday night, some ok bands, one really bad one...at least a couple were entertaining. My ears are still ringing though. Overall good Saturday night.

Didn't have to work Sunday, so that was nice (my boss called around 9:45pm while I was at the concert and told me that I didn't need to come in cause he didn't get any tax returns reviewed). I slept a lot of the day, woke up as my family left on a trip...*doh*...course, I had barbershop quartet rehearsal that night, so I couldn't have gone with them anyway. Good rehearsal by the way.

CST monthly meeting tonight...should be interesting. I haven't had much time to work on the CST website lately, but not much has happened so...no biggy. I just need to start working on the past show pages again as soon as possible (most likely next weekend since next Monday is the official end of tax season, the 15th falls on a Saturday). I'll see if I can borrow my boss' scanner and start going through the first scrap book I got (1979-80something)...some great pictures in there, and thankfully, most of the playbills (I can have cast lists for all these shows after all).

Well, I have to get to work...wish me luck this week, I'll need it.

SFAI

Well I got a letter regarding my deferral to SFAI today. Not the one I wanted though. This letter only talks about something that I'm going to call them about and that they lied to me about last year. My tuition deposit, my $300 tuition deposit. Last year I was told that the tuition deposit that I made (which I paid...very promtly, even though I ended up not going last year) would not be needed again this year. I was told that it lasted for one year when you defer.

It's due on April 28th, but I'm going to tell them that I don't have to pay it...or at least see if I can pay (or not pay) after I find out what my financial aid situation is, because I don't want to give them another $300 for no reason.

Bad morning, good rehearsal last night, but bad night once I got home...I want to go home and mope and sleep, perhaps punch some things...I have nothing to punch...sleep it is. Or shoot something in a game, that might work...angry, tired, confused, frustrated...all that good stuff. I think it's mostly lack of sleep last night though.

Maybe coffee will help...at least it's warm and cozy unlike anything else.

I'm tired and have six hours left at work...and I come in Sunday.

Server

The new server is up and running, the only thing that doesn't work right now is the complete music directory, I'll get that later...the links for individual songs will work...however, I don't have any usernames and passwords anymore...so...guess what, if you want one, leave a comment with and email (or email me) and I'll get you a new one.

I test drove a 2006 Honda Civic Coupe on Saturday, mostly just to say I test drove something. Although it is a really nice car. Hopefully I'll be in San Francisco and not need a car at all though. We'll know in less than a month.

Abwa??

I wake up this morning and look at my clock...it's not on...no little red glow to remind me if I can sleep another fifteen minutes or if it's really time to get out of bed.

I thought "that's odd" and got up to investigate. I quickly checked my cell phone (which had stopped charging) to find out the time, luckily I had woken up ten minutes after the time my alarm was set (I had actually planned on hitting the snooze button once, and only once...something I had decided before falling asleep.

Now then, I check out other electronics in my room. My computer is on, which at first isn't a surprise because it has battery backup, but then I realize that the backup isn't beeping loudly like it does when it's receiving no power from the outlet telling me to TURN OFF MY COMPUTER AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

So...I check out the lights in my room, no luck, none work. Bathroom? Nope...nothing. Hallway? Aha! that works.

After checking various other lights in the house (and taking a very dark shower) I established the fact that all lights and outlets in my room, except for the one my computer was hooked up on...never skipped a beat, are all dysfunctional (that's right, they have organs and psychiatric problems). However, all lights and outlets outside my room and bathroom are functioning as they should, turning on and off respectfully.

So...now I'm at work (luckily I did make it to work on time thanks to waking up randomly) pondering about that and thinking about what random people will be ransacking my room to figure out the problem. Course, everything important of mine is in my computer, in an open filing cabinet, or in a small locked fire-safety-box...so I'm not worried about that. I just hope I'll be able to find everything.
