oweekendo
(background noise: Serenity Soundtrack - Going for a Ride)

Movies, helping out with the set for Sleepy Hollow...'twas most of my weekend. Serenity was much better than I was expecting, I was expecting a bit of fun...not a very good movie, but it really was.

Car had a scary moment last night where it wouldn't start...at all. Taking it to the foreign car place this morning before work (getting my grandmother to take me to work from there...since...I have a lack of friends with cars here that I could ask).

We open Sleep Hollow this Thursday...woo hoo...oi, stressful. I think it will be fun though.

Well...grandmother is back, so off I go...

SFAI

*sidenote - ...I'm just a big jerk, that's all there is to it.

Now then, on to business. I have decided to commit myself to trying to find a way to actually go to the San Francisco Art Institute. I will receive results from UNC - Chapel Hill in January most likely...but, SFAI is my top choice, for many reasons.

First of all, San Francisco is amazing. I was born there, but remember little from that time since we moved when I was five. I have only made one trip back, which was last summer before I moved to North Carolina...but what little I saw was just perfect.

Second, simply look at the school, it is...also amazing. The feel, look, atmosphere...all just perfect. Design and Technology is a fairly new department there, but deals with a lot of computer programs and techniques that will only allow me to do more.

Third...just to simply make a damn decision. Usually when I make a decision, only more questions come up, or...something else happens. I had been thinking more and more about SFAI in the last couple weeks, and then NYU and UCLA were suggested by other people...people that discouraged SFAI because of the cost...even though NYU and UCLA would actually come to be MORE expensive...makes lots of sense eh? and who would want to go to UCLA anyway...

After Sleepy Hollow is finished, I will have more time on my hands and will be able to work on my portfolio more in hopes of receiving a scholarship based on that. There are lots of little ideas running through my head for what to do...more with computer graphics and photography...but I need some practice and some better locations for photography. Government grants will make a big difference, but also something that I did not have a chance to receive for last year: CAL grants (California State Grants), I am eligible for two out of the three available I do believe (not being eligible for the third because I didn't not graduate from high school in California).

Now then, with that said, UNC - Chapel his is not completely out of the picture, with in state tuition it would be a hell of a lot easier to pay for, but...all that isn't going to be on my mind until January.

I'm sure I will receive calls regarding this post...but...most likely I will not listen to any of the information in those calls unless it is helpful in paying for SFAI.

Also...I have finally started a bit on a page for Center Stage Theater, which I am trying to decide if I just want to make it a simple little one, or...a bit more content and basically copy the real CST website but...make it look better and have it updated a little better...

And...last but not least, I was bored:

I had that little canine head running through my head all day at work yesterday so I decided to actually put him to use...I originally had it pictured as a fox, but it looked more like a coyote at the end, so there we are. Plus the "media" deal is just thrown in there because I couldn't think of anything better...but hey, whatever right?.

Rosa

Thanks for sitting where you wished. To the "mother of the civil-rights movement"...thank you.

Hope you lived well, and considering you died at 92...I hope I wouldn't be wrong in saying you had a full life.

Where is Mountain View, California anyway? Near LA I think...

This is why!

(Danke to Engrish for having an appropriate image for my usage this morning, it's the front of a shirt by the way...God I love this shirt...oh...right...um...I really like this shirt)

Poor Milk...as I said: Arm and Leg

And...another, thanks to Engadget for this one.

Hee hee...you know, if I had a shuffle...that would be tempting

p.s. Those of you who haven't read the comments a couple posts back probably have no idea what I'm talking about.

Paper?
(background noise: Death Cab for Cutie - Crooked Teeth)

Well...I was in the News Argus today (Goldsboro's newspaper), large picture, decent article...never really liked the writing style of a lot of the News Argus' writers though. Plus...they got the dates for the show wrong...they've done that at least once before *facepalm*.

Back to work tomorrow...pretty good weekend...stressful two weeks coming up...since...a week from today we will be completely done with the show...so...yeah...stress...going to spend most of the day at work tomorrow going over lines.

Phone?

Well...I'm using my old phone for now, so people can call me. I'm working on getting my phone back, one of the "special" people most likely took it that was at Herman Park Center the other night...but they're apparently trying to contact me...so...we'll see.

I'm alone in the office today...decided to bring my PSP and StarGate...God I love that movie...so...that's what I'm doing since all that needs to be done is some fileing...water the plants...clean a bit...etc...

Rehearsals are going much better, Monday I will know just about all my lines down pat, so I can really get things done. There are now...thirteen days left before opening night, only eight of those days have rehearsal.

Good Morning Again

Got like...no sleep, just was in bed...awake...rolling around every now and then.

Boss leaves today for a week...so that's nice.

Leaving work early today...because.

Sleepy Hollow rehearsals are going well...a bit better now, I'm not off-book really...but my lines are getting their placement in my head a little better now. The newspaper interviewed me last night and they took pictures...should be in there over the weekend...

Oddly enough, this is my third lead role, second MAIN lead role...and only the first time the paper has interviewed me. In The Homecoming, they decided to interview the people that played my grandparents...even though they were in about...two scenes. Wizard of Oz...I can see why no interview for that though, since there was Dorothy...plus us three..lol

Lost my phone last night...hopefully somebody picked it up at rehearsal...but apparently Lisa tried to call...the one night I lose my phone...so if anyone wants to call me...tough luck for a bit...if I don't find it today though, I'll take my old phone over to US Cellular and get it reprogrammed (was wondering why I kept that thing around).

Well...I better get dressed and head to work...don't know if my boss has left yet or not...so he may throw some random crap at me before he leaves.

Wedding

Well I went to my first wedding ever, it was quite nice. The ceremony was quite cute, and the reception was quite long and quite odd at some points (thanks to some CST people). Teague did all sorts cute(ish) things, Courtney looked great and had an amazing dress.

I was in a suit...w00t...maybe I'll put a picture up later.

I was never familiar with the tossing of the garder (familiar with the bouquet throwing, but not the garder)...so ANYhow...I caught the garder, lol...with a flying leap.

p.s. Sherilyn looked absolutely gorgeous in her dress, really...very very.

Saturday?

Well, off to the office for a little while today.

Then...back home to change so I can go to Teague and Courtney's wedding (two of my CST buddies).

Then...to their reception.

Then...back to boring-ness.

Then...hopefully sleep at some point...gah, wish I could spend more time with someone...

...yeah, better get dressed.

Bah?

Another day, another dollar...or two, or whatever...or none, who knows...

Adam suggested I put up a screenshot of this ages ago...I also said I was going to (once again...ages ago), but here it is...notice the oddly uniform answers.

Yeah...orgasmic whirring.

Flights

Ok...finally I shall inform you of the flight dates and times.

I will be flying out from Raleigh on December 16 at 8:10AM.

Arriving in Salt Lake City at 10:26AM.

Shuttle down to Moab at 2:00PM (Three hours alone in the airport...come see my Adam...Jason...Ben...somebody!)

Arrive in Moab that evening.

Shuttle up to Salt Lake City on January 7 at 7:30AM.

Fly out of Salt Lake City at 4:55PM (once again...that whole...three hours deal).

Arrive in Raleigh at 10:56PM (damn that's gonna be a long day).

Anyway...there it is...so I basically have nothing to do December 17 - January 6th...help.

Awww...

I forget exact dates and times for arriving in Salt Lake and coming to Moab...but I will post them when I get back from work today. Have the paper telling me in my car. Once again...I will be completely bored for about 2-3 weeks in Moab, I will be utterly alone for Christmas besides two cats and my other self...

Good weekend, would have liked to do something with Sherilyn on Saturday, but...yeah. Saw the Wallace and Gromit movie Friday though! Very excellent!...will also put up poster when I get home.

Basically played World of Warcraft most of the time at home, my character is level 20 now...w00t. I took care of a few things for my car (replacement bulbs, still need to do some polishing and such...chrome, then I'll take some more pictures...once we have a sunny day...it's been raining a lot). Still need to have one thing checked out on my car, but it's hard to get it out to the one place to get it worked on since I need to be at work and such...the disadvantage to not having many friends with cars here.

I need to start memorizing lines...we basically only have three weeks until the show...four kind of...but yeah. Gene wants us off book on Monday...which means I will probably officially be off book Wednesday....hopefully...usually takes two or three days to whip me into shape on that.

Anyways...

I try...

Your Love Style is Agape

You are a caring, kind, and selfless partner.
Unsurprisingly, your love style is the most rare.
You are willing to sacrifice your world for your sweetie.
Except it doesn't really feel like sacrifice to you.
For you, nothing feels better than giving to the one you love.

Moab?

Well...I am going to be stuck in Moab during Christmas time, alone and bored with cats. I will not be able to leave for long-lengths of time...so if people who didn't want to travel 1800 miles to see me in North Carolina want to see me...Moab is a bit closer.

I will inform you of exact dates and such over the weekend or something.

But, I will basicaly be alone for Christmas since my parents will be in Hawaii, so if any close friends want to come visit...that would be most excellent.

More details later, back to work.

Rehearsals for Sleepy Hollow (you know...I cringe when people type/say "Sleepy Hallow"...yes Halloween, no...not Hallow) are going well, we basically have the whole show blocked out now, just need to...work on it now, get costumes, memorize lines, get props, get into character...you know.

Xena

Xena: Warrior Planet (with moon sidekick)

Anyway...10th planet...pretty cool...still under debate, but pretty obvious now with the moon, and the bigger than Pluto deal...

Mercury
Venus
Earth
Mars
Jupiter
Saturn
Uranus (Urectum for Futurama fans)
Neptune
Pluto
XENA!

Dangit...I almost had all those, I don't think I've named all the planets since like...4th grade. I got them all right just now except for I switched around Uranus and Neptune...Neptune is my favorite planet by the way...

p.s. For those of you who do not know, I recently started a character in World of Warcraft, I am on the Deathwing server and my characters name is Mushoku, a tauren hunter (Mushoku means no employment in Japanese...at least to my knowledge, I couldn't think of a name...so...that's what happened). If you are a WoW fan, please look for me sometime.
