Blu-Ray VS. HD-DVD The sides are getting more defined...if you know of any more companies...let me know, I'd like to keep as complete of a list as I can (even though I know many of you don't even care). I think Sony will have a little more luck with this one than they did with Betamax...even though Beta was a better format than JVC's VHS.
| Blu-Ray | HD-DVD | | Sony | Toshiba | | Dell | Intel | | Disney | Microsoft | | Lions Gate | Universal Pictures | | Paramount Pictures | Paramount Pictures | | Warner Brothers | Warner Brothers | | Apple | NEC | | Panasonic | Sanyo | | Samsung | | Universal Music | | Pioneer | | Philips | | Sharp | | Hitachi | | Hewlett Packard | | 20th Century Fox |

Haha
"Today's been a good day, I've eaten five times, I've slept six times, and I've made a lot of things mine. Tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I can't have sex with something..."
Not really, but I love Red Dwarf, anyways...it definitely has been a good week what with getting my car and all last Friday (notice previous post), and two more things that I will mention now.
1. Auditions for Sleepy Hollow went well...I am...ta da...Ichabod Crane, we have the first read-thru tonight and we're already going to start blocking on Monday...eee...happy.
2. $8.00/Hour now instead of $7...year review this morning, tomorrow's paycheck will reflect the pay increase. Most likely will have to be here until April 16th however. This will cancel my job replacement search...at least for now...maybe if I'm a bit more aggressive I can get another raise during tax season or something when I start taking over some more bookkeeping and payroll since the other guys will be doing mass amounts of 1040s.
That is all...

As of September 23rd, I have worked in the same place for a year. My boss realized this the other day...so perhaps a raise is in order, if not...screw it.
The first pictures were taken of a live giant squid...woo hoo giant squid! Holy crap 59 feet long...anyways
Second night of auditions was fun...last night tonight, and they are doing the casting tonight *crossing fingers*
I still find random glitter (just one small spec of it on my finger)...being the Tin-Man will haunt me forever eh?
Need to go see Corpse Bride...tomorrow perhaps, hopefully...Labels: Pictures/Videos/Artwork

Yay!
Forgot to mention I found out the problem with capturing video from my camcorder. w00t! This means I can put The Homecoming, various other clips from thingies, and The Sound of Music onto DVD for those who wish to have a copy...muhahahaha.

Awa?
Another day, another friend getting married. Bethany...basically my first friend here. Met her on MySpace last like...October, she came to see The Homecoming, we got coffee every now and then, she worked at the movie theater and let me in for free :)...haven't hung out much lately...probably cause she's at ECU now. But apparently she is now getting married in October of 2006, congrats to her.
Second night of auditions tonight...last night was fun. A lot more younger people (high school) know about CST now so a lot where there, as opposed to when The Homecoming had auditions and barely anyone was there...of course we're simply trying to get some of the high schoolers to break away from Stage Struck and come into CST...Stage Struck's production of Grease was just...too kiddish for me...but I guess that's the point...

HA! (background noise: Yamato Ensemble - Kaede No Hana)
Huzzah! The Sound of Music is officially over...the last show went very well and I actually got to tape it...so hopefully I can figure out how the devil I put it on DVD...none of the pictures of me in costume came out that great...someone accidentally put my camera flash on "SL" (Soft Light? I'm guessing) so it makes it quite blurry. However...I have some pictures of my newly acquired Mercedes...Christine! Muahahhahaha.
Some of those aren't very good either, so I'll probably take more...but for now...HA, it's mine, I love it...it's great...great weekend...
Auditions for Sleepy Hollow tomorrow night...let's hope I do well.
This week hopefully will be fairly nice, less stressful...and more enjoyable...and if I'm lucky lucky and I do well at auditions, then good news at the end of the week.Labels: Pictures/Videos/Artwork

Car?
*Crossing Fingers*...car today or tomorrow, car today or tomorrow...come on come on come on.
Late Happy Birthday to Ana Happy Birthday to Staci Happy Birthday to Kassi Um...am I forgetting anyone?
Happy 21st Birthday to me...in four and a half months-ish...holy crap...
p.s. This may make me very glad I have a PSP...and make me actually want to purchase movies on UMD instead of DVD...cause my only complaint about the UMD was that I couldn't watch them on a large TV...but this appears to be changing, I can live without extra content and "Making Of"s...

Tee Hee...again
Watch this. Then look at this.
I've gotta say I agree with Penny-Arcade's interpretation of the Revolution Controller...not to mention that commercial is just...silly.
And for those of you who are not familiar with Penny-Arcade and the excellence of FFPrime:
Comic 1 Comic 2 Comic 3 Comic 4 Comic 5 Comic 6
Originally there was a really good one introducing the product box for that little bugger...but I can't find it...Labels: Pictures/Videos/Artwork

Name (background music: Billy Talent - This Is How It Goes)
I believe I have officially named my car...after seeing this picture it's all that I could think of...Christine...I know...corny reference to Stephen King book...but it's a good book dammit! Of course...the car is way different...but too bad!...another teaser shot of the newly named Christine:

For those of you who don't understand why I chose Christine: This is why...I wish they would do a remake of the movie, they left out so much, but the special effects stuff with the car was really cool for a low budget film.
Please comment with your...agreement, or...objections...Labels: Pictures/Videos/Artwork

Baloo
Sleepy sleepy at another week at work. I believe we only have on refresher rehearsal this week before out last two nights of the show this weekend. This will give me a chance to...REST I suppose, but that could probably change at any moment and they could call everybody back in again.
I think the kids need more of a rest than I do...elementary school and up until probably at least midnight all of last week, not to mention the stress of performing and homework...oh...and duh, you know...the fact that they have larger parts than I do with who knows how many costume changes.
I'll try to remember to have some people take pictures of costumes and such this weekend. With me looking like a repair man and then a Nazi...with black pants and a white shirt...(wa?)...

Ha! (background noise: Depeche Mode - I Feel Loved)
Just thought this song to be appropriate :) or...at least the title.
I'm quite happy now...however really tired and hungry, even though I woke up at one o'clock this afternoon.
Opening night of The Sound of Music went quite well...as did our second performance. One more weekend to go, and then auditions for Sleepy Hollow w00t!
However...back to work tomorrow, crap...oh well.
Off I go to do more laundry, and maybe to a movie later.

The Brain
Bad dreams (yes plural), bad mood, sleepy but thoughts won't stop, opening night...w00t perhaps?
Stupid...stupidness, ugh. Jealousy, fear, all that jazz.
Started rehearsal at 5 last night...still ended after 11, still only went through the show once.
Definitely taking advantage of "casual Fridays" at work today.
I do get paid today, so I guess that makes things a little better.
Need to get Staci before rehearsal and go purchase make-up...cause it takes too long to look for some amongst the large quantity provided by other people.
p.s. Gah...work doesn't help, nothing to do...I sit here and think, which only makes things worse.

Bla
I am cursed. I swear...any time I try to go to bed early, something is going on or something happens. This happened A LOT at Mesa State. I went to bed early last night cause I knew I needed some energy today, had to come in work early (came in early...only to find nothing ready for me to work on and finished the small amount of processing I had to do in under 9 minutes), and I have rehearsal tonight 5-11. I went to bed at 9:30! EARLY! However, right as I started drifting off...my phone rang...of course. It took me another hour or so to fall asleep again, my room was really really hot, bah...
Now I've gotta convince my boss to let me go at 1:00 so I can actually do some laundry clean up a bit in my room, get something to eat, and go to rehearsal.

Uh
Coffee helped...a little, not much. Still exhausted.
Going to wear weird pink shirt to rehearsal tonight if I remember...excellent shirt that I haven't worn yet.
Almost lunch time...w00t...pretty hungry. Actually made myself a smoothie this morning though, since I had...you know...and extra hour and a half. Ran around in the kitchen with a towel on grabbing blueberries, orange juice, a banana, and some protein powder...woo-hoo....wow I'm tired.
Sweet and sour chicken here I come.
p.s. Dangit...China House is closed on Mondays
p.p.s. Holy crap Cirque du Soleil is coming to Raleigh
p.p.p.s Ok fine it's purple, not pink

Doo Dee Doo
Probably one of the best weekends of my life...it was great.
Not much sleep however, and I woke up this morning at 7 to give my cousin a ride to school...only to be called soon after and told that he is sick. So...sat around in my room for an hour and a half, and now my eyes are half closed at work. Hopefully coffee will help.
I want to start thinking about a trip out to Denver/Moab again...most likely around Thanksgiving or Christmas, but the people that I want to see are in Denver, Moab, Grand Junction, and Salt Lake City...so the trip would probably have to be pretty long...and I'd need some way of getting to all those places, and money to do so. Around Christmas time that may be possible though. God I wish Sherilyn could come with me though, that would be the greatest.
Rehearsals this week are going to be stressful...when I left set-in around 7:30 last night things were coming together, but there was still a lot of work to be done, a lot of painting still...and of course accent pieces, but it definitely looks good. Rehearsals run from 6-11 all week and, of course, opening night is Friday. Thinking about that just made me a little nervous, I'm pretty sure everything will go great and I'll have another smaller part under my belt. I am REALLY looking forward to Sleepy Hollow though, I just hope I do well during auditions.
Well...I'll probably post more later, I'm in a writing mood right now but I have to go...

Um...sure
Let's see...not much going on. Happy but stressed.
News on the Mercedes: Rear window finally ordered, had to do it directly through Mercedes...which made it about twice as expensive. It should be in next week, hopefully early next week. I always have my hopes up that I'll have the car in time for something that's going on: the Herman Awards, a certain weekend, or in this case...opening night of The Sound of Music, or even simply for the cast party.
Speaking of...opening night for The Sound of Music is a week from today. The show is coming together, but could always be better. I have a feeling once we get on the stage that we're actually going to be on, things will come together a lot better. Just like Wizard of Oz...it's frustrating not being able to rehearse where you are going to perform...or at least somewhere that's like it, but that's the way it works. I'm simply ready for this show to be over and looking forward to Sleepy Hollow...trying not to get my hopes up for that show though, since there will probably be a lot more competition for parts.
This weekend will consist of hopefully finishing up the set for Sound of Music...so much of my weekend basically is gone. I hope to make the most of it though.
Denver is looking better and better as a destination in the spring or summer (trust me, I have my reasons, besides the obvious)...just need to get a friend or two keeping an eye out for theatre groups in southern Denver (cough...Jason/Cameo...), not to mention a job, and soon after...apartment. Of course things in North Carolina are still up for grabs until at least January which is when I would get accepted/rejected for UNC Chapel Hill.
My cousin Jonathan is going out on tour with Death Cab for Cutie again to promote their new album...which in my opinion isn't as good as their last one...but has a couple good tracks on it. I hope to be able to go see them in Raleigh or at the Cat's Cradle in Carboro/Chapel Hill again.
and...the end, more later perhaps...once we have costumes (probably Wednesday) I shall try and put up some pictures...and if I get some nagging from fellow younger Center Stage members, I maybe can possibly get that damn picture site up eventually (all I have to do is spend like an hour on it, but...I'm busy most of the time, and when I'm not...I get really lazy).
p.s. This makes me wish I had $1,500...you know...to spare, and then another $2,000 to spare again for this
p.p.s. I had the most random phone call yesterday during lunch. It said "Private Call" on my phone, so I thought it was Jamar, since he usually uses the number block thingy and tries to pretend to be other people. I answered and an older male voice with a southern accent said "I'm confused, is it Wednesday or Thursday" I answered "It's Thursday" and he said "Ok, thank you" and hung up.

WTF??
My curse involving the game of Solitaire is now complete... Freakin' weird.
Keep in mind...this image has not been doctored at all, this is simply a screen shot from earlier today. Now...what is wrong with this picture?

Clowns
During my time in North Carolina, I have met more people who have a fear of clowns then ever before...it's quite odd. I'm not afraid of clowns, I don't have an aversion to them...even if I do find them kind of...creepy.
This brings me to my all new mini-poll...answer truthfully...or just have fun.
I found it odd that in my last mini-poll...the answers were so uniform. In response to the new look of my blog (which...isn't that new anymore) seven people had an orgasm and seven people made a *whir* sound...only two votes out of the total 16 were not for one of those two (one person apparently went *clank* and one *fizz*). Thank you to Adam for bringing this to my attention. I will put a graphic up of the votes tonight when I'm home.
I am also considering constructing a new portion of my blog which would be "for your-eyes-only" material...accessed the same way as the music directory is...with a simple password...we'll see though.
