WHA!?!

If you have firefox, I have questions for you:

1. Does this show up only as HTML code text? or as an actual Web Page?

http://www.blogocide.com/artwork/walls.html

2. If it shows up as text only, do you have any idea why!?!

This frustrates me.

EEE!

I just installed Photoshop CS2...so happy...but not really. So yeah...

I'm actually achieving some headway on www.blogocide.com and I may have a working site up by the end of the weekend. I worked on it a lot last night and some this morning.

Domain

I have just purchased www.blogocide.com and should have access to it within 24 hours. Globat.com was having a special on hosting and such...so I get the year free. I am going to revamp the blog and hope to be up without a hitch next weekend some time. I'll of course let everyone know when the new site is up and running, and once it is...I'll ask you all to correct any links you have. This is going to be a lot of work that I'll probably start working on tomorrow and if things go REALLY well, I'll have the site up by the end of this weekend...but no promises.

To Oz?

Well, the first weekend of the show is over. I got sick on Wednesday night...good job right? Luckily...my costume is a mobile spa, so I recovered some before opening on Friday. My voice has still been going out though. Luckily, I kept my voice under control during my song in each performance, not really caring what happened with my lines as long as they were audible.

I have pictures of me in silver...so I shall post them tonight. I also have pictures of me with the remnants of make-up (mostly eye-liner and after effects of having my hair under a "tin" hat all night). The interesting thing about those pictures is that I look surprisingly good with eye-liner and some messy hair...half Goth/punkish look almost (I'll keep that in mind for later use). I'll try to get some real group pictures this weekend during the second run so you can see our little quartet together.

The show went fairly well. Our director, Miles, was extremely happy with our performances. Thursday is the school performance, which is when the understudies get to take over. I was hoping to be able to watch the show from the audience so I could see Sherilyn as Dorothy...but it looks like I've been roped back stage to doing lights for that day since that's what Scott (my understudy) has been doing every night. So...looks like I'll only be able to hear her.

*note to self purchase roses for Sherilyn's curtain call*

I wasn't able to tape the performance, because they are doing it "professionally." So I am going to have to purchase and duplicate that copy for my friends and family. That takes a lot of the work off my shoulders...but it also means that I purchased a $100 microphone for not.

I am amazed at how well I am actually doing in each performance. Keeping my voice under control with a sickness, remembering all (I repeat...ALL) my lines without ever studying the script outside of our readings in rehearsal, dealing with well over 150 degree heat inside my costume, and having my face violently scrubbed for coming back on as Hickory, the farm-hand in the last scene. It's been a long weekend and we have to go right back to it tomorrow with another rehearsal (where I will be learning lights).

What's the best way to get lipstick on for being onstage? Kissing someone of course...well...ok maybe it's not the best way, considering it usually ends up smeared, and crooked...but that can be fixed.

Best thing about my costume is that I can stand over a fan and let the air run up my back and chest...otherwise I'd probably be dead.

I will update more tonight, post some of those pictures and...yeah...probably take a nap or something. Wish I could right now...I'm exhausted.

Costume

At the moment...I have no costume. A lot of things are going wrong at the last minute. A Tin-Man costume is being ordered now, I'm just hoping it gets here before Friday.

Update

This will be a pretty quick post and probably the last one before our first weekend of Oz is over.

Tax season is over, thank God, didn't have to work today.

Wizard of Oz rehearsals...going pretty well...the set and costumes are nowhere near ready though, especially my costume. There was a lot of tension between all the tech people yesterday while building the set. We'll see how ready we are tonight since we're doing the first full runthrough of both acts, I hope things go well, cause if they don't...this performance isn't going to be very good. I'm trying to have faith in everyone though, and if things go as well as they did on Thursday night...I think we may be getting somewhere.

I've been really stressed out about my costume, and I'm really worried about looking like an idiot on stage because of it (if I'm going to look like an idiot, I'd rather have it be my fault, not the costume's).

Random change of subject: I got the replacement hard drive for my computer, and I replaced the chipset fan. Works like a charm. I had to disassemble most of my computer to put the fan in...but now it's running great with no problems.

This is the week that Ellen is retiring, so I have to take over her duties at work. So now I am, in addition to just about everything already, in charge of billing and am the office manager...so I've gotta go through the office this week and really find out how much supplies we have, and I have to print invoices for all of our clients for up to April 15th.

I'm looking forward to going to Philadelphia next month...it will only be for like 2 or 3 days. I'm going for my sister's graduation from law school, at Temple University. I hope to go to the art museum. Of course, I will be in the back of a car for more than 7 hours...but hey...I'll buy House of Flying Daggers on UMD and watch it on the way up on my PSP.

I got a course guide and everything for SFAI, I have to make some corrections for my financial aid to get my reward letter though, so that'll be done around lunch time today.

Talked to Adam few days ago...excellent...hope to hear from him again when he gets back from California.

That's about it...I'll post again if I have some time, otherwise...it'll probably be on Sunday after the show to let everyone know how it went.

Pictures

Decided to do a post with pictures...woop!

All connected to Wizard of Oz in some way or another.

Enjoy! (You know of course that you can click on the thumbnails to see a little better :P)

There were too many! This isn't an accurate picture either, cause during this time I actually had 5 kids on me...and more trying to climb on.

Awww...that's...about it.

Apparently I'm scared of something else...

On the way to Greenville last Saturday, rain, had to go around the wreck soon after this, looked pretty bad. We went to Greenvile to Eastern Carolina University to promote the play by performing some of our dances and songs.

*Doh*

You know...I put myself into really stupid situations sometimes.

So anyway, opening night is less than three weeks away. Tonight we are supposed to be off book, which I am mostly, there are two or three scenes that I don't really know at all though because we haven't run them that much (especially then ending scene...although I think I only have one or two lines at that point anyway). On Thursday we're going to have a photoshoot exclusively for myself dealing with the construction of the Tin-Man. I have to go to the costume shop and they are going to build the costume around me apparently, so we'll see what happens and what sort of publicity I get.

I should be getting financial aid information from the San Francisco Art Institute near the end of this week. Wish me the best.

Right now I'm sort of looking forward to the end of tax season and the end of the season with Center Stage Theater, it really is time for a break. I have two complete shows memorized in my head...and right now I'm trying to cram in the third. I'm really looking foward to going to Philadelphia in May for my sister's graduation, unfortunately it looks like I'll be driving up with my grandparents...(driving being that bad thing of those two). I guess I won't have to drive, but it will be 7 hours...that's when the PSP will really come in handy.

Really sleepy, bad night, annoying day...hopefully rehearsal will cheer me up, although it may just make things worse. Dammit...it's only Tuesday.

p.s. Late happy birthday to my parents (March 23rd & March 30th) and Jason (March 24th)

Ajuahh?!

Is Gmail really increasing their storage or is this some sort of April Fools joke? Now...if they could only increase their attachment size to say...800MB with a progress bar, we'd be set right?

(Look at the increasing value on the Gmail main page...the storage in my account really is going up respective to that number)

Strange

Mobile

With an fully-equiped online PSP foreseen in the future. I have decided to start work on a Mobile version of my blog. Strip down some images, and of course...make it smaller...

p.s. April Fools...but seriously, I am working on the mobile site, might turn into something besides a blog though.
