Nothin
(background music: Eddie Izzard - Dressed to Kill)

Just updating to update basically...been more than a week. I've been working...and working. Playing a few video games here and there (Halo PC, Doom III, Front Mission 4, Final Fantasy X).

Got the replacement hard drive for my computer. Still haven't put it in...I'm not in any rush though, not like I'm gonna run out of space anytime soon.

Went to see Hero with my aunt and uncle. Driving around...trying to find more things around Goldsboro. Probably going to Chapel Hill next weekend, if not, I still have to go to Raleigh to pick up my cousin, Catey, from the airport.

Been watching so much Asian Cinema...which isn't a bad thing. My suggestions from my latest viewings are Musa: The Warrior, Heroic Duo, and Samurai Fiction.

However, I have to go now cause I just saw something in my taskbar that says Time remaining: 3h 4m 37s...and I do not recognize it...so...yeah...I'm gonna try to get rid of it.

p.s. I did not enjoy service pack 2 for Windows XP...I uninstalled it...(that is not the cause of whatever this time remaining thing is)

p.p.s. Nevermind it's a time remaining for the password I'm cracking on a .rar file...duh :)

A Good Day
(background music: Jung-Hwa Ban Jum [From Chin2)

Today was a good day, well...other than this morning when I heard the usual cry of "Vinnie!" from my grandfather, waking me up. I decided not to respond, "Maybe he'll just go away" I thought, but surely enough the cry came again with increased intensity, "Vinnie!!" I heard. So I responded in an annoyed tone, "Yeah?."

He wanted me to attend lunch with him...I said I was too tired. As I was, considering the night before had been hell at the restaurant, well...busy anyway.

After I actually became mobile I decided to run around the town. I went to the Sunday buffet at the China House of course and then just wondered, I ended up at Target (a usual stop in Goldsboro, along with Wallmart and Blockbuster) and found my way to a small Chinese grocery store where I bought chopsticks, jasmine green tea, and some rice candy.

I then made my way to old downtown (where I work) and decided to actually look at the surroundings of my job. I saw a martial arts center, small gift shop, and heard music in the background. I followed the music until I came to the door of a church about 3 blocks from Billie's (the restaurant where I work). As I walked up to the door, the two women outside invited me in and I sat through the amazing performance of the group (The Gospel Messengers I believe). They all had perfect singing voices, powerful, and catching and had a great guitar player and drummer. I realized when I sat down though that I was the only white person in the church, I didn't feel uncomfortable at all though and they all made me feel very welcome and said I should come again. The group ended with a 19 girl who sang and cried about her car accident two weeks earlier, I actually found myself in tears along with most of the church at the end. After the singing was done they had a few speakers and then the senior pastor went up to talk. However, the senior pastor had been the woman that I sat next to after I walked in, the one inviting me to come back and giving me welcome smiles the whole time. She thanked the group, the girl, and me for coming in that day. She was so happy to see me in there that she had me stand for the others to see.

I left comparing this experience with my other church experiences and felt that this was definately a better way of celebrating your faith than any other I've seen. Makes me wish I could believe in God and Jesus, but alas that is not for me. Atheist is the best way for me.

Other than that, I ran into three people from work today, don't know how I pulled that off; one at the mall, one at target, and one at the nightly run to Wallmart (old habits die hard). Well I am going to watch a movie and head off to bed...I may do some more wondering tomorrow.

School
(background music: Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out)

School has now started, I'm only taking three classes this semester, and one of them starts in October.

Western Civ II and Chorus, so not exactly a hellish schedule.

I have work in an hour...of course. Looks like I'm going to have Sundays and Mondays off regularly now though.

For those of you who wanted to see my haircut...
And this was on the door when I got home last night...awww...

p.s. I have decided to possibly to a renovation of my blog this weekend, no change in the layout, but just some needed archiving and maybe a change of file hosting (please, if anyone knows of a good free file host, let me know). I'm going to take images off of my archived pages and simply put links to them (to speed up the loading on the page). I know I have been posting quite a few images in the past few days (just because of the arrival of my camera) but that will pass and I'll make links to them instead of placing them on the main page, because I KNOW that's killing anybody with dial-up...I was there for a long time. So...if you have any suggestions (no one ever does...try this time) on simple things...or on the entire layout, I can still change whatever...let me know.

p.p.s. Thanks to blogger to removing the large advertisements at the top of the page and replacing it with the decent looking blogger bar.

Ever wonder what color your eyes are...or mine for that matter? HA! This is what color!
And of course...the new set up in my room with my various toys.

Camera/Pictures
(background music: The Hives - No Pun Intended)

Now that I have gotten my camera (A Sony DSC-P100), I have to chance to document the world around me in Goldsboro. These are only a few basic pics of the house I'm in and my car...but more will follow.

Nothin

Forgot to mention my Wireless Intellimouse Explorer 4.0, if you get a wireless mouse...that's the one to get. And a Logitech cordless Wingman...
Sorry...I'm a nerd and addicted to computer parts...
Service Pack 2 is not out for Windows XP, apparently it has a built in pop-up blocker in IE now...not absolutely sure. If so...one more boost for having the mini-poll lol...
So at the moment we're at 2 for yes and 0 for no on the mini-poll...but I would like some more votes before I decide.

Option 2 - We discontinue the Mini-Poll until further notice
Please let me know what you would like...

New Computer
My new computer is almost up and running, I am waiting for one more part and then it will be complete...this means...ta-da! That my next post will be from that new computer, and about it...hopefully some pictures if I can get some decent quality ones from my camcorder...and I might actually have some background music.

Work is going well...tonight I received compliments from the rest of the staff on my work this night. Got my first paycheck for the first two days I worked (I was at the end of the pay period when I started) and haven't had a day off since Sunday, and still don't have a day off until Tuesday (Monday...through...Monday working straight) that means overtime pay though...so my next paycheck should be a hefty sum.

Still haven't really met anyone my age, but at the moment I don't really have time, I'm asleep at midnight or 1 in the morning depending when I get back from work, wake up around 9 or 10 and then go to work at 3...I just have to be careful and need to start eating more, and better.

My cousin Katie is leaving for Hawaii to see her fiance and is getting back in another month or so. She's getting married in November...unfortunately this means that I will have one less enjoyable person to be around. I just need to go see her tomorrow because she leaves Saturday.

Well...until my computer post...hasta luego and goodnight.

p.s. Once I have my computer I'll actually be able to update the rest of my blog (links, movies, etc...)

p.p.s. Happy belated birthdays to Sean and Laura
