Back Well...I was homesick, till I visited home this weekend. Now I'm happy I'm away from Moab. I know this will offend a couple people and everything, but yeah...the three people that I've been thinking about the most have been Kassi, Ben, and Adam (I miss you!)...since they made the deepest impressions on me in high school. Every now and then I think about other friends, but those are the "big three" ones. I met a girl named Courtney in my algebra class and I'm gonna try to talk to her a bit more and get to know her. I'm trying to become a math tutor, which I will find out if I can tomorrow.
Post Update: I forgot to mention that Joel got me to come down to the college cafe last night to listen to a woman who was singing there. I really really enjoyed it, her name's Nina Storey. I might have to try and get one of her cds sometime soon.
2nd Post Update: For anyone who actually wants to check out Nina Storey, you can get a few of her songs here and here

Homesick Last night I slipped into a small depression. I just realized that I'm not going to see many of the friends that I have been with for so long; I know...it's a little later to notice that now that I've already spent almost a week in college, but I guess my mind was to pre-occupied at first. I don’t know what it is, but I guess fooling around with someone of the opposite sex helps out the depression, sad to say I wish I could find an equivalent to it; although, these chocolate covered espresso beans are a pretty damn good start. But let's see...what else is new, I'm going to attempt to get a tutoring job on campus involving math, I really hope I can. My classes are pretty boring except for Western Civilization; I can already tell that it will be a very enjoyable class. The professor almost makes me feel like I want to major in history...which for any of you that know me, is quite impressive. Well I'm going to head off and finish the rest of my English and physics homework; unfortunately they're my first two classes. And I just realized...why the fuck did I just do my algebra homework, it's due on Monday, and it's easy shit...I could have spent that time on physics. Oh well...anyway, I hope to talk to any of you soon. I will be in Moab on Saturday afternoon, so if you want to do something either give me a call at my dorm 970-248-2323 tomorrow afternoon or call me at my house around 3 on Saturday.

"No Subject" I just thought I would update you all (ya'll?) on my college life. Not sure who reads this anymore anyway. Right, well...my schedule is presently English Composition, Physics 111, Physics Lab, Algebra 113, and Western Civilization. Algebra is going to change...trust me, I can't handle the boredom of that class. I've met a few more people, nothing to special yet...I'll get out more on thursday and this weekend and try to push myself into public affairs.

College Well...I'm here. Mesa State, once night down and who knows how many to go. After I moved my precious belongings into my dorm room I felt very alone. Since Justin cannot make it here at least this semester, I was now entering a new world with completely new people, and since I am usually not a very outward person, it could cause problems for my social life. Well, WRONG...very wrong indeed, after wondering around by my lonesome through the dorms some people finally recruited me to come with them to find a party that was going on that everyone had already left for. After making two new friends, Joel and Dee Ann, we drove into the desert searching. Small but meaningful conversations filled the ride, just basics, but definately needed chatter. After I got to the party, I no longer felt alone and found that all my fear was for nothing, college is going to be great...beyond great. Although I did not get much sleep last night I am still semi-awake and typing this in w.bloggar since the Server System here has some sort of virus or bug in it so I will not have the internet until tuesday (which at the time of this post will be the present). I now am off to purchase my books and get some drinks from the Sundrop. I hope all of you are having an equally pleasant and exciting time wherever you may be.
Post Update: I am amazed, the internet got up and running after I got back from my first two classes.

28 Lays Later I just watched 28 Days Later yesterday, of course it wouldn't come to Moab...so I got it on my computer, really good quality too. It's a really well made movie however the writing is definitely a bit off, the characters are incredibly stupid throughout the movie. And I'm still wondering how some guy who just got out of the hospital after a month (or even more) is taking on trained army men. I just don't know how one bicycle messenger who has muscle atrophied and a basically pure diet of sugar for 3 days could take these guys on. I dunno...they're kinda screwed up anyway and deserved what happened. Beside the design flaws though I have to say it's enjoyable movie, haven't seen a good zombie movie forever, I still am hoping they come out with Resident Evil 2, since we didn't get to see much in the first one. Oh...one more thing, the zombies can RUN! For once in a zombie flick the guys go faster than a slow walk while moaning.
Post Update: Well, right now I'm packing because I leave tomorrow. The next time I post I will be in my dorm...at that time I will also complete the pictures on the MOAL siteLabels: Movies/Video Games/Entertainment

Farewell Well my friends, I leave in 10 days. Not sure what to say, but I hope I have made an impression on most of your lives (and I hope that it's a good one as well). Unfortunately my parents still seem to want the last few days of my life in Moab a living Hell, lol. If any of you are ever in Junction, I will be in the dorms as of the 15th so give me a call: 970-248-2323. I will be there in the evenings trying to get to know my roommate, Ezequiel. Less of course I find a good job...then I'll barely ever be there, but I'm sure I'll be online whenever I'm in the dorm and not sleeping.

Post Update 8/7/03: I am really looking forward to the MOAL tomorrow, it will be the last chance I have to see a couple good friends and I'm looking forward to the games of course.

Back to Junction Now then, I'm going BACK to Junction on Monday to turn in the shit load of applications I picked up on Thursday. A couple jobs look promising, but I'm sure I'll have to look around a lot more. Actually, while I'm there I might try and go see The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, since it seems to be having troubles getting into Moab (even if there is an enormous poster in the lobby at the theater). Oh, my classes at Mesa State are now: English Composition, Western Civilizations, Algebra, Physics and Physics Lab...I'm looking forward to freaking out about them soon.
Post Update: TLOEG is not playing in Junction...and neither is 28 Days Later...to my knowledge...dammit.
