Well Ronald Reagan was definately right to name our anti-ballistic defence the Star Wars program. Lasers...finally, the dream of war and science fiction fanatics alike come true; a gift from our modern day scientists. The first "airborne laser" is soon going to be tested as the defence again possible missile strikes. An interesting idea, and effective...IF you know the location and time the missile is launched. An aircraft equipped with this high intensity laser must intercept the missile on it's ascent from the launch area. Otherwise this is an amazing idea, but puts some of our intelligence teams a boot through the door to make sure we have accurate and effecient ways of finding a missile launch.
