Fifth Element Quotes

"Empty. The opposite of full." - Gary Oldman as Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg

"Are you classified as human?"
"Negative, I am a meat popsicle." - Bruce Willis as Korben Dallas

"Bzzzzz...BZZZZZZZ" - Chris Tucker as Ruby Rhod

"The ZF1! It's light, handles adjustable for easy carrying. Good for both righties and lefties. Breaks down into four parts, undetectable by x-ray. Ideal for quick, discreet interventions. A word on firepower. Titanium recharger. 3,000 round clip with bursts of 3 to 300. With a replay button, another Zorg invention, its even easier. One shot.....and replaysends every following shot to the same location..... And to finish the job, all Zorg oldies but goldies. Rocket launcher. Arrow launcher with explosive poisonous gas heads. Our famous net launcher. The always efficient flame thrower. My favorite. And for the grand finale, the all new ice cube system." - Gary Oldman as Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg

Other Quotes
"I think I'm in love with a retard."
"Is he bigger than me?" - Animal House

I just watched Swordfish again, and I decided to watch the making of. They mentioned that they knew John Travolta had to have the part of Gabriel, if he's not it, then who could do it? I thought about it for a second and I thought the one other person that could do that part well would be Gary Oldman, if you don't know or remember who that is, here are two movie examples: The Professional and The Fifth Element...both by the same director who definately knew how to make amazing movies.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?

- Epicurus (c. 341-271 BC) philosopher in the Hellenistic period

The American Heritage Dictionary's definition of Atheism
Atheism - Disbelief in or denial of the existance of God

...this dictionary was compiled by a Christian

God must always be capitalized

Look at the definition...both options suggest the existance of a God

1. Disbelief in the existance of God
Disbelieve - To refuse to believe in.
Refusal of the existance of god, if you don't believe in the existance of a God, you are wrong

2. Denial of the existance of God
Denial - 1. A refusal to comply with a request. 2. A refusal to grant the truth of a statement. 3. A disavowal: repudiation. 4. Self denial.
The word refuse again. Refusal to grand the truth of a statement. Refusing "God exists" as a statement. But that statement must be true
Self denial. I have been here many times, denying yourself the existance of god. "In denial" that there is a God.
And Denial ain't just a river in Egypt.

I just learned (may not be true) from Bill Marr (not sure how to spell his last name) that George W. Bush's SAT score was 600...combined...

Update...I was wrong, Ben says it was 1100...so that must be his math score, cause I doubt he scored much on english...

"The criminal misuse of time was pointing out the mistakes. Catching them--noticing them--that was essential. If you did not in your own mind distinguish between useful and erroneous information, then you were not learning at all, you were merely replacing ignorance with false belief, which was no improvement." Bean from Ender's Shadow (Orson Scott Card)

Well...my "reputation" reaches farther than it seemed. I hate everyone thinking certain things about me...but anyway, the entire reason of this post is to have people comment to it, letting me know what they have heard about me so I know what I can clear up, or what I can say is true. (This excludes the rumor that I am gay...since that was intentionally started...lol).

Today I used my usual daily trip to CNN.com to check up what's going on with Iraq. The home page of CNN had a story called "U.S. prepares for post-war relief in Iraq." Now is it just me or is this a wrongly named article. Preparing for post-war relief????? Aren't we still in diplomatic procedures to try to prevent the war? Once clicking the link, the title changed to "U.S. plans to help Iraqis after war." Once again, AFTER war? How about after "possible" war...or at least I hope I didn't miss that whole...you know, war thing and I'm already seeing only the after effects. The article slowly explains that the war is still an "up in the air" issue, but maybe CNN should be a little more careful on their titles as to not cause some of that time-old "American Confusion."

Psychotic Situation

You're in a desert, walking along when -

What one?

What?

What desert?

Doesn't matter what desert it is, it's completely hypothetical.

Well, how come I'd be there?

Maybe you're fed up. Maybe you just wanted to get away from it all. Anyway. You're in a desert, walking along when you look down and you see a tortoise, It's crawling toward you.

What's a tortoise?

You know what a turtle is?

'Course.

Same thing. So you reach down and flip the tortoise over on its back.

Do you make up these questions? Or do they write them down for you?

The tortoise lies on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over but it can't. Not without your help. But you're not helping.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I'M NOT HELPING?

I mean you're not helping.

[Pause]

Describe in single words only the good things that come into your mind about... your mother.

My mother?

Yeah.

Let me tell you about my mother. [Shoots him]

I had to do this quote as a seperate post because it is so very right. When reading this keep in mind the situation in Iraq and the amount of troops in the surrounding areas (for those who don't know: 181,000 troops).

Some of my favorite quotes...I'll slowly add more...I imagine that the list will become fairly large since I love quotes...and it seems there will be a lot from Einstein :)

If A equals success, then the formula is A = X + Y + Z...X is work. Y is play. Z is keep your mouth shut. - Albert Einstein

"I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones." - Albert Einstein

"Early to Bed and Early to rise makes a man stupid and blind in the eyes." - Mazer Rackham from Enders Game [Orson Scott Card]

"Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." -Albert Einstein

"Tradition is the illusion of permanence." - Woody Allen

"Gravity cannot be held responsible for people falling in love." - Albert Einstein

"Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full with what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming: Holy Jesus! What are these goddamn animals?!" - Johnny Depp from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Hunter Thompson)

"You can turn your back on a person, but, never turn your back on a drug. Especially when it's waving a razor-sharp hunting knife in your eye." - Johnny Depp from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (Hunter Thompson)

And now...my favorite kind of Comedy relief:

"Revelence...*doh*...Relevence" - George W. Bush Jr.

"Subliminiminal" - George W. Bush Jr.

"It's time for the Human Race to enter the Solar System." - George W. Bush Jr.

"I'm not part of the problem, I'm a republican." - George W. Bush Jr.

"I have made good judgements in the past, I have made good judgements in the future." - George W. Bush Jr.

"Republicans understand the importance of bondage between a mother and child." - George W. Bush Jr.

"If we don't succeed, we run the risk of failure." - George W. Bush Jr.

"The vast majority of our imports come from outside the country." - George W. Bush Jr.

"It isn't pollution that's harming the environment. It's the impurities in our air and water that are doing it." - George W. Bush Jr.

"I stand by all the misstatements that I've made." - George W. Bush Jr.

"Public speaking is very easy." - George W. Bush Jr.

"Religion is now one of the organizing principles behind American policy." - Elliott Abrams, Senior Director at the National Security Council, and a former Iran-Contra player pardoned by George Bush Sr. (a sphincter says WHA!?!?!?!?!?!?!)

A comedian's job is to think up goofy shit...think up goofy shit, come around every now and and let you know what it is, or remind you of things you already know, but forgot to laugh at the first time they happened.

The human brain has three levels: Reptile, Mammal, and Primate. Each giving birth to the next. Although they are tied so closely together, they have very different ways of thinking. For example, on the issue of war: the Primate brain thinks; "Give peace a chance," the Mammalian brain thinks; "Give peace a chance...but first let's kill this mother fucker," and the Reptilian brain thinks; "Let's just kill this motherfucker, go to the peace rally and get laid."

My birthday spree is done. I'm 18...a man...wow. Well, a boyish man at least. I'm waiting for my new digital camera, the Canon Elph. Now to take lots of pictures of pointles things. If only I could go to Washington DC and take pictures of George Bush's little smug face while he's basically telling the country we're going to war. Waiting for applause, and once obtained, a evil grin spreads across his face. I hope he likes his own little world where he's popular...cause eventually reality will hit. (Die Bush Die!!!!!)
